Becoming a Xiangqi Assassin was my first book, and it was published back in 2016. It has been well received by the English speaking Xiangqi lovers of the world. The popularity of the book has spurred me to start volume two but the translation of several ancient manuals, and writing the Lexicon of Xiangqi has taken up much time, but finally, Volume Two is now out.
As with the first edition, the main purpose of writing this book would be to help the newcomer to Xiangqi have a sense of what it takes to win. Moreover, there is no better way to do so than by seeing how the experts do it.
Over the past few years, while adding material to the site, I have collected many brilliant kills and checkmates that were played by the Grandmasters and Masters of Xiangqi. Anyone of the kills or checkmate could easily lift my spirits.
It is with great pleasure that I present Volume 2, a collection of 100 hundred positions to the reader. All are positions from actual matches which have been researched and explained in detail as best as possible by the author.
