BLM: The Making of a New Marxist Revolution
Black Lives Matter (BLM) has emerged as one of the most influential social movements of our time, gaining significant momentum and creating a global impact. What initially started as a response to the unjust killings of Black individuals has evolved into a full-fledged revolution with a clear agenda, shaping the way we think and talk about race, equality, and social justice.
The Genesis of Black Lives Matter
The roots of BLM can be traced back to the tragic death of Trayvon Martin in 2012. The acquittal of his killer, George Zimmerman, sparked widespread outrage and ignited a movement demanding justice and an end to systemic racism. Alicia Garza, Patrisse Cullors, and Opal Tometi, three African-American activists, coined the phrase "Black Lives Matter" as a hashtag on social media, and the movement quickly gained traction.

BLM centers around fighting for justice, combating police brutality, and dismantling white supremacy. It has become a rallying cry for Black communities worldwide, leading to protests, demonstrations, and acts of civil disobedience in countless cities.
A Marxist Perspective
While the initial goals of BLM seemed rooted in racial equality, some argue that there is an underlying political agenda. Critics claim that the movement is driven by Marxist principles, seeking to establish a new revolution that goes beyond racial justice.
Marxism, as a political and economic theory, aims to create a classless society by advocating for the redistribution of wealth and power. By connecting the struggle against racial injustice with broader social and economic inequalities, BLM introduces a Marxist lens that challenges the existing social order.
Supporters of BLM argue that these claims are unfounded and simply attempts to delegitimize the movement. They emphasize the importance of highlighting systemic racism and inequality, as well as the need for radical changes in policies and institutions. The desire for justice and equality does not necessarily align with a specific political ideology.
The Impact of BLM
Regardless of the political debates surrounding BLM, there is no denying its powerful impact on society. The movement has succeeded in bringing conversations about race, social justice, and police brutality to the forefront of public discourse.
As a result of BLM's efforts, meaningful changes have taken place. Police reform has become a central focus in many countries, with demands for accountability and an end to racially biased policing. Companies and organizations have committed to promoting diversity and inclusivity, recognizing the importance of addressing systemic inequalities.
However, the movement has also faced criticism for its tactics, including the use of violence and destruction during protests. Critics argue that these actions tarnish the movement's image and hinder its ability to enact lasting change.
The Future of BLM
The future of BLM remains uncertain, but its influence cannot be ignored. The movement has sparked a new wave of activism, inspiring individuals to question existing power structures and demand justice. Whether or not BLM evolves into a full-fledged Marxist revolution, its impact on society and the fight against racial inequality is undeniable.
As the world continues to grapple with social and political unrest, it is crucial to engage in open and honest conversations about the issues that BLM raises. Only through dialogue and understanding can we work towards a more inclusive and equitable society.

The George Floyd riots that have precipitated great changes throughout American society were not spontaneous events. Americans did not suddenly rise up in righteous anger, take to the streets, and demand not just that police departments be defunded but that all the structures, institutions, and systems of the United States—all supposedly racist—be overhauled.
The 12,000 or so demonstrations and 633 related riots that followed Floyd’s death took organizational muscle. The movement’s grip on institutions from the classroom to the ballpark required ideological commitment. That muscle and commitment were provided by the various Black Lives Matter organizations.
This book examines who the BLM leaders are, delving into their backgrounds and exposing their agendas—something the media has so far refused to do. These people are shown to be avowed Marxists who say they want to dismantle our way of life. Along with their fellow activists, they make savvy use of social media to spread their message and organize marches, sit-ins, statue tumblings, and riots. In 2020 they seized upon the video showing George Floyd’s suffering as a pretext to unleash a nationwide insurgency.
Certainly, no person of good will could object to the proposition that “black lives matter” as much as any other human life. But Americans need to understand how their laudable moral concern is being exploited for purposes that a great many of them would not approve.
