It all started years ago when my mother fell ill on Mother's Day. All our plans to surprise her, take her out for a special meal, and show our appreciation were shattered as we rushed her to the hospital. Since that incident, it feels like a curse has befallen our family, and every year on Mother's Day, something happens to prevent us from enjoying the day as intended.

The Emotional Toll

The constant cancellation of Mother's Day has taken a toll on my emotional well-being. Every year, I eagerly look forward to this special occasion, hoping it will be different. But as the day approaches, anxiety begins to build up. I find myself fearing that history will repeat itself and ruin yet another year of celebration. The disappointment and sadness that follow are hard to bear.

It is a constant reminder of the love and appreciation we owe to our mothers, regardless of any external circumstances.
