When we think of Adolf Hitler, we often picture the notorious dictator who led Germany during World War II. However, behind every powerful man is a woman who plays a significant role in his life. In Hitler's case, that woman was Mrs Eva Braun.

The Eva Braun Photograph Albums 1912-45 offer a compelling glimpse into the private life of the most hated man in history. In this article, we delve into the story behind these albums, their significance, and the woman who carefully curated them.

Eva Braun, born on February 6, 1912, grew up in Munich, Germany. She first met Adolf Hitler in 1929 when she was just 17 years old while working as an assistant to the official photographer of the Nazi Party, Heinrich Hoffmann. Despite the significant age difference, Braun became infatuated with Hitler and their relationship continued for over a decade.

Throughout their time together, Eva Braun meticulously collected and documented her experiences with Hitler through photographs. These albums, spanning from 1912 to 1945, capture intimate moments, lavish parties, and travels shared by the couple. The images offer a rare window into the private life of Hitler and shed light on the man behind the tyrant.

The Eva Braun Photograph Albums have become a valuable historical resource, as they provide insights into Hitler's personality and his relationships with others. The albums showcase a side of him that contradicts the public image of a power-hungry dictator. They reveal a man who, despite his atrocities, was capable of experiencing joy, love, and friendship.

One album, in particular, stands out. Titled "The Italian Adventure," it chronicles Hitler and Braun's visit to Italy in 1938. The album contains breathtaking photographs of their encounters with Benito Mussolini, the fascist leader of Italy at the time. These images offer a unique perspective on the relationship between two of the most infamous figures of the 20th century.

Eva Braun's role in Hitler's life was kept in secrecy, and the public was largely unaware of their relationship until near the end of World War II. On April 30, 1945, as the war was drawing to a close, Hitler and Braun married in a private ceremony. Less than 24 hours later, both Hitler and Braun tragically took their own lives inside the Führerbunker in Berlin.

After the war, the Eva Braun Photograph Albums were discovered by the Allies and eventually made their way into various archives and private collections. They serve as a reminder of the personal cost of Hitler's reign and the untold stories that have remained hidden for decades.

These albums not only offer a unique visual record of a dark period in history but also give us a chance to see Eva Braun as more than just Hitler's companion. Through her meticulous cataloging of their shared moments, she reveals her own personality and passions.

The Eva Braun Photograph Albums 1912-45 have exhibited worldwide, attracting visitors who are eager to gain a deeper understanding of the enigmatic woman who stood beside one of history's most reviled dictators.

In , Mrs Eva Braun played an undeniable role in Adolf Hitler's life, and her photograph albums give us a glimpse into the private world they shared. The year 2012 marks the centenary of Eva Braun's birth. This is the strange-but-true saga of her life, richly illustrated from her own personal photograph albums, as well as from other captured German archives. She married German dictator Adolf Hitler but 36 hours before their joint suicides in Berlin on April 30 1945, in the last week of the Second World War in Europe. This exciting pictorial biography tells the full story of a Catholic convent-bred young woman - not only as the secret mistress, as many historians have painted her since her voluntary death at age 33 - but also as Hitler's lawfully wedded wife, even though she is still largely referred to today by her maiden name. They met at a Munich photography shop in 1929 when she was but 17, and he was already 40. The true nature of their long relationship is fully explained in detail for the very first time: she was heterosexual and he bisexual, but the author concludes Eva most likely remained a virgin until the day she died. Although many reports after the war claimed that he shot himself and that she took poison, the official Russian autopsy of their partially-burnt bodies asserted that both died by cyanide capsules, despite the postwar testimony of all Hitler's closest aides, lending even their deaths an air of mystery. Who was she, really? The answers are here. This fascinating, gripping, and tragic story of a pretty, well-liked, middle-class shop girl is of a life mainly lived in the iron shadow of history. In death Eva Braun Hitler became - and remains today, a hundred years after her birth - one of the most famous women in all of world history, alongside such female luminaries as Joan of Arc, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, and Princess Diana. Eva has been a figure shrouded in controversy, misinformation, myth, and legend, until now. At long last the veil is lifted, with over 300 photographs providing an extensive collection of imagery, including a number of contemporary color shots. Eva Braun had a lifelong passion for photography - her close friends nicknamed her the 'Rolleiflex girl' after a camera model - and this is reflected in the array of imagery featured in this groundbreaking book.
