Leverett Anson Pratt designed and supervised construction of a variety of residences, schools, churches, business blocks, and industrial buildings in and around Bay City, Michigan for a 50 year period during the turn of the 19th century from 1872 to 1922. He founded three notable firms during this period, LA Pratt (1870-1880), Pratt & Koeppe (1880 - 1910) and Pratt, Bickel, and Campbell (1912-1919). This collection of books shares photographs and drawings of the structures as well as newspaper and book articles describing them and is divided into four parts covering: 1) Family biography, architectural features, and residences in and around Bay City, Michigan, 2) Churches and schools, 3) Hotels, office and store buildings, 4) Industrial buildings, public buildings, lost bids, unfulfilled projects, and suspected projects. Many of the newspaper articles were collected over a 3 year period with the help of Alan Flood of Bay City, Michigan who has been a generous and reliable help in the creation of this collection.
