Once upon a time, science was seen as a beacon of knowledge and truth, a guiding light in the darkness of the unknown. It promised to uncover the mysteries of the universe, revealing the secrets behind life, the universe, and everything in between. But as we delve deeper into the realm of science, some have started to wonder if it has lost its way and become nothing more than a soulless goddess, concocting tales that captivate our minds but leave our souls untouched.

The Rise of Science

From the birth of modern science during the Scientific Revolution to the technological advancements of the present day, science has undeniably shaped our world. We have celebrated its triumphs and marveled at its discoveries, from the theory of evolution to the splitting of the atom. It has become the foundation upon which our modern society rests, offering answers to questions that were once the domain of religion and philosophy.

The Quest for Knowledge

Science, at its core, is a relentless quest for knowledge. It seeks to uncover the truth and explain the natural phenomena that surround us. But as this quest progresses, the lines between fact and fiction can become blurred. The theories and hypotheses put forth by scientists are often presented as absolute truths, with no room for doubt or skepticism. This unwavering confidence is what lends science its authority, but it also raises questions about its potential fallibility.

Just like the fairy tales of old, science has its own set of myths and legends. These stories are built upon a foundation of evidence, experimentation, and analysis, but they are still subject to interpretation and revision. The scientific method, with its emphasis on experimentation and observation, is designed to minimize bias and error. However, scientists are still human, and they can be influenced by personal beliefs, societal pressures, and even corporate interests.

The Soulless Goddess

Science can be seen as a soulless goddess, detached from the emotional and spiritual aspects of our existence. It focuses solely on the tangible and measurable, leaving little room for the intangible and unexplainable. As science advances, it may unravel the mysteries of the physical world, but what about the wonders of the human spirit? Can science truly capture the essence of consciousness, love, and the human experience?

In our quest for understanding, we must not lose sight of the fact that science can only provide a partial view of reality. It offers valuable insights into the mechanics of the universe, but it cannot answer the fundamental questions of existence. The beauty and complexity of life cannot be reduced to mere equations and formulas. Our souls crave something beyond the limitations of science, something that reaches into the depths of our being.

Embracing the Unknown

Perhaps the key lies in embracing the unknown, in acknowledging that there are realms of existence that science may never fully grasp. By leaving space for mystery and wonder, we allow ourselves to explore the realms of spirituality, art, and philosophy. These realms provide a different kind of knowledge, one that cannot be quantified or tested in a laboratory.

Science and spirituality need not be at odds with each other. They can coexist and complement one another, each offering its unique perspective on the human experience. Science can provide the tools and methods to unravel the mysteries of the physical world, while spirituality can delve into the realms of meaning and purpose.

In

The soulless goddess of science may captivate our minds with its tales of discovery and innovation, but it is essential to remember that it is only a part of the greater narrative of human existence. By embracing both science and spirituality, we can embark on a more holistic journey of understanding and appreciation.

So let us not be blinded by the fairy tale of science, but rather let us recognize its limitations and seek a greater truth beyond its realm. Let us dare to explore the unknown and embrace the mysteries that lie beyond the reach of scientific explanation. In doing so, we may find a deeper sense of wonder and connection to the world around us.

The book is an attempt to explain that "science" is not, as is usually claimed, an undeniable "universal truth but a "faith" of its own kind. And although science is often projected as an "undisputed truth" that is based on the objective and systematic observation of the material world around us, but its findings are never without assumptions and suppositions. For example, science assumes that things and events in the observable universe occur in consistent patters. However, it ignores the fact that material world is a constantly changing phenomenon as Heraclitus (the Greek Philosopher) famously put it: "you can not step in the same river twice, for the waters are constantly flowing on." And then the observer of the outside material world is also not the same man as he is also being constantly affected by the changing surroundings. The point is that the "reality" or "outside reality" is utterly particular (as things/events are always in flux) and hence no matter how well one theory explains a set of observations, nothing could truly be established or affirmed. Therefore, in spite of all claims and assertions, there is no way to secure completed and absolute truth. Thus it can be concluded that science is not merely a collection of "pure facts" and has a very much fictional dimension just as can be mostly true of other organized and formal branches of knowledge, such as "History," "Biographies," and "Novels."

Similarly, belief in God (that is an anathema to atheists like Richard Dawkins ) is also not like belief in "aliens or "tooth fairy." Therefore, trying to find a God ( if He could be lost ) is an absurd idea because science has not even been able yet to fully grasp the idea of life and death.
